GET INVOLVED!

Hi there, you savvy thing, you!

TSC is on the move, with big plans for second-hand globalization, and we’re looking for Thrift Store Confidential Correspondents all over the world!

Whether you’re a Second Hand Virgin or a Salvation Army Veteran, We Want You to help us with your first-hand, unique reports on the second-hand stores in your community.  Soon we’ll have a dedicated space for correspondents, and we can’t wait to showcase the wonderful people (and the wonderful thrift stores) that make our community great!

Write to us at thriftstoreconfidential@gmail.com and tell us a little about yourself and your thrifting experience, and what topics you’d like to cover. From articles to vlogs, photos to poetry, we’d love to hear from you!  Let’s get the word out, people!

All best,
Nicole & the TSC Team

Thank you for the link ! I found you on the Secret Society for woman site. I love thrift store shopping! I am a mother of 4 and a stay home mom. My husband makes a good income but it has nothing to do with the ability to buy new. I absolutly love the feeling of buying something that meant so much to somebody at some point in there life. I found christmas decorations one year from the fifties and the mother went as far to right the names and year on the ornimates. I found it sad that the family did not cherish them. Our family does to this day and we have a story every year we hang those ornaments and wonder about the family who owned them prior. Also our home my grandmother raised her children in and the home my mother raised us in burnt down in 1991. I sometimes will find pieces that I remember from my grandmothers china cabinet and it makes me happy to replace pieces with Items I love and cherish but I know my grandmother would of as well.

I love thrifting so much I’m attempting to make a living doing it! Along with making my own label out of reconstructed thrift store finds, my goal is to connect other avid thrifters- so your site is refreshing!!

A hidden gem in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is antique alley in Ishpeming/Negaunee/Marquette. My favorite is the 2 story ‘Negaunee Vista Theatre Thrift Store’. Favorites in Marquette are Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul, Pak Ratz, Reblossoms Consignment, & Goodwill.

Thank you for sharing your love of treasures with us! Keepin’ it outta the landfills,
    Lanni

  • Any fool can spend money. It takes intelligence, creativity and bravery to get what you want at the price you can reasonably afford.
